Disagree, Im all about people becoming immune to intentional shaming from other people.
People “need”, “should” etc- more shaming reasoning. People dont need or should anything. The people who dont behave in the way I want them to can get the fuck out of my life, other than that, I’d call them out on their own stupidity if I think they can correct their ways, but not out of “shame”.

@YOHAMI: Sometimes there are people in your life that need to clean their act up. And if they’re open to change then shame will push them further than support will. A combination of both will drive them to the highest heights. It’s the only reason most fat people keep so much weight off and the main reason marriages stayed stable in the past. Also the main reason most men of my Dad’s age got work at age 13 or 14. Shame is society’s main tool for keeping us homogenous and functional, but also for guiding those who are harming themselves or in denial. Shamelessness, victim worshiping and punishing anyone who hurts someone’s feelings got us the modern world. Shame does us good.
