He calls women out all the time on their bad behavior. Except in this area, he is pretty hard-core anti-feminist. Like many conservatives, however, he is just in the dark about how pervasive its influence has been.
His error is two-fold:
1. Overestimating the number of women who are indeed marriage-worthy. He does hold that the carousel riders who are not marriage material are to be avoided. I don’t get a “man up and marry those sluts” vibe, but rather a”man up and marry one of these nice girls” one. The problem is that such women are quite rare these days.
2. Holding that men should “do what’s right” and that the women will fall into place. I got this one a lot from the leaders at my church after my wife will divorce me. My pastor at the time even wrote to me that I should just lead and she would follow me, “even in divorce.” Even back in my blue pill days, I wouldn’t have swallowed something that obviously insane.
Just to put my own cards out on the table, my position is not an anti-marriage one, like that of a lot of denizens of the manosphere. Still, men who are marriage-minded simply HAVE to take into consideration the mine field created by feminism and “no-fault” divorce. They have to choose wisely and soberly. Marriage-worthy Western women are few and far between, and even when you find one, you had better already have the SMV and MMV to attract her.
Matt’s wrong here. It’s not all on you, BUT it isn’t up to the woman to realize what a “catch” you are, either.
