A compliment like that from her meant a lot to me. Then suddenly she something like:” I mean your not the kind of guy that girl’s hook up with, you know? But later on when girls are more mature and have got stuff out of their system. You’re the kind of guy we settle down with.” Ouch! that hurt me a lot. Even more so because the girl I had a crush on was standing besides her. I was frankly stunned. I was angry and replied with a sarcastic remark. She could see that I was very upset, and tried to backtrack and then when that didn’t work she said something like: “I can’t believe hooking up means so much to you, I mean wouldn’t you rather be the guy who gets the girl in the end?
LOL. Of course, the guy would be happier to get the girl in the end, when she is probably way below her peak hotness. It is even better if she decides she doesn’t want to do the things with him that she did with those “hook up guys” to “get it out of her system”

If any woman wonders, NO MAN EVER would “rather be the guy who gets the girl in the end.” We all want to be the guy who gets the girl in the beginning INSTEAD. So, if you are a woman who feels men ought to feel some other way, then your feelings are plain wrong.

#63 re: dates on which “she would freeze up and basically give only brief fearful responses to very mundane topics or ideas on what to do on the date; it became like talking to an oil painting; quite sad really.”
